Instead of billable hours at market rates, I'm dedicated to affordable, upfront and honest pricing. Most fees are on
a flat fee or sliding scale basis . You'll only pay for the legal services you want and choose the level of representation you need. Whether consulting, coaching, drafting, or litigating, I'll work with you and your budget so you can afford
the legal services you want and need.
A DIFFERENT SORT OF TRANSPARENCY
Technology is leading the way for clients to know what is being done on the client's case. Many lawyers have been reluctant to use this software. MyCase Software provides clients a secure electronic portal to important documents and billing records. The portal is accessible on your smartphone or home computer 24-7, 365 days a year. You will be
informed of what is going on with updates and alerts as matters progress on your case.

Lawyers want to "represent" you. I want to fix your problem. No one goes to a mechanic for representation on
a timing belt. A person goes to a mechanic to have the timing belt fixed. If I can fix your problem and get you back on the road, I will have done my job. If you're satisfied, hopefully you will allow me the privilege to fix another.

Bricks and mortar are largely becoming part of the past. While I have a desk and a chair, primarily my office is in
the cloud. Mine is mostly a virtual office. I communicate securely through the internet or telephone. If it is important to meet, I will come to your home or office to meet face to face.

While now based in Greenville, South Carolina, I practice in Asheville, Waynesville, Hendersonville, and Western North Carolina since October 2000. It has been my pleasure to serve Western North Carolina when I lived in the Haw Creek neighborhood in Asheville from October 2000 to November 2014. I married a woman living in Greenville and made the decision to continue serving my clients and to commute.
I've worked for one of the largest law firms in the world, a boutique law firm, and one of the most respected law firms in western North Carolina. In June 2017 I decided to follow my passion and help people and small businesses of low and moderate means.
I was humbled to be nominated by my peers to North Carolina Business Magazine's 2015 and 2016 Legal Elite, and proud to be awarded Pisgah Legal Services's Pro Bono Service Award in 2012 and 2013. I served the profession as President of the 28th Judicial District Bar. I am proudest of the times when I've improved someone's life. I believe access to justice, or access to a lawyer, is for everyone, not just those who can't afford it and not just for those who absolutely can.
